Seriously, in spite of all the worry, anxiety and stress, being his mom is just the best thing ever.
Sometimes he's really concentrating on something, or maybe he's just woken up, and he catches my eye and smiles so big that he wrinkles his little nose up.
It's like a little piece of Heaven right here on Earth.

Robbie sounds like a sweetie! (even during all the anxious and stressful times!) I hope his feeding is going well!
Ditto!! It is an amazing experience!
Glad things are settling down a bit for you. Hope the trend continues.

Nodding my head
That just melted my heart! i can't wait till my boys start really doing the responsive smiles. (Right now I think they're very close, sometimes we think they really are smiling real smiles but we'll see ...)
Just catching up. Despite the fact that I think we would be friends IRL, I do think I would ever call you a "laid back" mama. LOL. I took care of my husband a few years ago after he had his amputation and then when he had a PIC line for the staff infection and although I know that's nothing like dealing with your baby, I do understand how hard it is to do those medical-ly things that scare the be-jeezus out of you. After a while though I caught on and people thought I was a pro. It will be the same for you. And then you'll wonder what ever you thought was so hard. I'm glad he's taking more and I have a feeling in my gut that things are finally on the upswing for your family. After all, it is about time, right? :)
Thank you for sharing your bit of heaven. :-)
Trish, sorry I haven't been around - but I am so joyful to read that you and Robbie are doing well. Ugh - I can NOT imagine inserting a NG tube. You totally ROCK! You are such an inspiration to me. Keep the faith! Prayers from Germany my friend.
