Prayer request

Robbie is having a good day. I'll post about him later.

For now, I would like to ask that everyone pray for a family in the NICU who lost their baby today.

I don't know their story. There was a new baby there when we arrived today. Looked to be closer to full term and in an open air bed.

It wasn't until I heard his mother let out a wail that will haunt me til the end of my days that I knew what was happening. They were preparing him for transport- I assume to a place where they could be alone.

I tried very hard to busy myself with not intruding. Not an easy task when I'm literally 2 feet away. The baby was in the spot that Robbie occupied for his first few weeks.

I hoped I was misunderstanding what was happening.

After they left, the nurse was crying. That's when I knew.

The doctor who had been tending to them came to talk to me about Robbie shortly thereafter and he looked stricken.

I went to go pump shortly thereafter and just prayed for them. I hope you'll do the same. Pray for comfort for that family. You don't know them and neither did I. However, but for the grace of God, it could have been us. I can't.. and don't want.. to imagine their pain.

Is it idealistic to want to dedicate my life's work to making sure that NEVER happens to another Mother?
Prayers for you and your Robbie and for the family without their beloved child.
Hearing about your Robbie doing well is the chocolate sauce on my sundae.

They are in my prayers Trish. How tragic, no mother should go through that. And your right I don't want to imagine either.

That made my heart just sink. It doesn't matter if we knew them or not because it could have been any of us. :(

That makes my heart drop. No one should have to go through that.

That is horrific. Prayers said from CA. Now that I have my child home, I can imagine it. How awful.
